It is a
dream of every bride-to-be to glam up on her wedding. On the day of wedding it
is she who takes hold of the maximum limelight. That is why most of the brides prefer
to wear the best of all wedding wears. This is the time when they choose
elegant and elite lehengas. Lehengas which originated from Rajasthan prove to
be the best wedding wear. These are quite comfortable when compared to other outfits
which are designed for wedding.
The most
amazing thing about these Lehengas
is that they are not only meant for wedding occasion but they are also designed
for occasions such as parties and festivals. There are certain festivals where
these graceful lehengas are worn. This outfit is preferred mostly in the
festival of diwali. During this
festival almost all the Rajasthani girls wear lehengas of different colours and
work. These are popularly known as lehenga choli or ghagra choli in the areas
like Rajasthan and Gujarat.
On Dandiya
Raas which is the traditional folk dance of Gujarat even little girls wear this
traditional attire. Therefore this is the best attire for all age groups. With different
patterns and work these lehengas look highly attractive. This lehenga choli comes
with three different components. One of the three components which is called as
lehenga is the longest and the most attractive part of this outfit. Another component
which is called as choli is worn on the top of this lehenga. The last component
is dupatta which is usually worn on the head. The lehenga which forms the
bottom portion of this attire is crafted and embellished with different works. Sometimes
it comes in different layers. A royal look comes to this ghagra choli when it
is embellished with kundan, Swarovski crystals and beads. Zardosi and
reflection work also brings the stunning look to this authentic and ethnic
outfit.
In earlier
days women used to wear lehengas of only red colour. But now many of them have switched
to multi colored lehengas. Now designer lehengas come in different shades and
colours like green, maroon, orange, pink and blue. One more factor which
differentiates one lehenga from the other is the embroidery work which is done
on each and every lehenga. While some lehengas come with thread embroidery and
resham embroidery, some other exquisite lehengas come with Zari embroidery. When
Peta work, ari work and sequins work is carried out on these lehengas they appear
as the elite ones. These fabulous lehengas are designed using various fabrics. The
fabrics with which these lehenga cholis are designed are net, silk and velvet. Mostly
raw silk is used to make these outfits.
